When I entered Texas the agent at the visitors center suggested I checkout Seminole Canyon.  There are pictographs on the walls of the canyon but you have to go on a guided tour to see them, and there were none offered the day I was there.  There are some cool hikes along the rim of the canyon so I went for a hike after checking out the visitors center.
