The first stop on my journey was Whiskey Pete’s, which is at the state line of California and Nevada.  I got a late start on my journey as it took me a long time to pack and get prepared to be away from home for almost 2 months.  I left home after dark on July 7th and went as far as I could.  I pulled off in Barstow, CA and considered staying there but pushed on to Nevada.

This picture was taken the next morning from the window of the room.  It is interesting to notice the solar array mirrors in the distance.  They are part of a solar power plant in CA.

They had the Bonnie and Clyde car in the lobby
